**Requirements for the Client Install **

**Licensing **

• The license for the EP client software is separate from the SCCM license – Just because you are licensed for SCCM does not mean you are licensed for the EP client.
• For the purpose of this lecture, if you have installed the evaluation version of

Endpoint Protection, you are licensed to install and manage your Endpoint

Protection clients for evaluation purposes only (as indicated below)

• Most Microsoft Licensing models including the Core CAL and Enterprise CAL cover both licenses, one for Configuration manager and the licenses for the Endpoint Protection Client so for most organizations this is probably a moot point.
• I suggest calling your Microsoft reseller for additional information, or if you need additional licenses for your production environment.
