This lecture is for those of you who plan to install SCCM not in a lab but in your existing Windows Server network. Some of our students take this course and need to install SCCM at work, and if this describes you then be sure to complete this lecture.

In our lab, we will be installing SCCM 1902. This works because we built our lab with the latest versions of Windows 10 and Windows Server (2016 / 2019).

In your network, you may have older or different versions of Windows 10 or Windows Server, so you will need to consult the chart below to see what versions of the ADK or SCCM you should be running.

Below are instructions for how you can check to see what version of Windows 10 you are running. Log  into the target workstation, then clicking the Windows button and selecting Settings:

Within the Settings window, navigate to System > About:

Here you will see the current edition and version you have installed on your computer.

Hi profile avatar Angelo Duke

You can find the pre-downloaded SCCM files in the SCCM Basics Lab under the C:\.

I am on C: there are no pre downloaded files on the SCCM server. I am talking about your labs which goes for 30 min.

Angelo.

On the SCCM Basics Lab click on the Resources Tab on the Right pane and you will notice the Lab contains 3 Machines (SASCCM01, SADC01, and SAWS01). By default, it might be already selected SASCCM01. Log in and look under the C:\SCCM Install Files folder. I am attaching an image so you can see how it looks.

Hi profile avatar Angelo Duke

Select the link for the lab here:

https://www.serveracademy.com/courses/installing-and-configuring-system-center-configuration-manager-sccm/lab-sccm-basics/

Select the machine SASCCM01.

You can attach the image by clicking the clipboard icon on the bottom right corner of the editor,

Hi profile avatar Angelo Duke

To help out in finding the Setup files downloaded to the lab machine, I am attaching this screenshot to make it easier to find them. These are in the lab “Installing System Center Configuration Manager“. Clicking on the right pane for the machine named SASCCM01 you will see a Shortcut on the Desktop that will take you to the Setup files.
