Welcome to Server Academy

Every Windows environment has a directory — a system that keeps track of users, computers, and who's allowed to do what.

Active Directory is Microsoft's answer to that problem. It's the backbone of almost every corporate network on the planet. When you log into a work computer, Active Directory checks who you are. When IT locks down a USB port or pushes a software update to 500 machines at once — that's Active Directory too.

As a Windows administrator, you'll live in Active Directory. This demo will show you how.

In this short demo, you'll:

  • Open Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC)
  • Navigate the directory tree
  • Create a user account

No installation required. Everything runs right in your browser.
